Alpha
_________
I got it one time
And so consistency shall reign.
Everyone's your life coach.
Teach you how to play their game.

When you're 25
The rules still haven't changed.
And you start to realize
There are no other games to play.

I am an alpha supreme.
My frame is finished goods.
Prop me up in front
With god before the flood.

I will be the lead.
Begrudgingly, the lead.

Beta
_________
The path will go left.
And I follow to the end.
With nothing gained
I start again.

The path will go right.
And I follow to the end.
All patterns of light
But my time is a sin.

I am a beta test
For the one who will take me over
In the end.

Are they with the starting blast
Until the end?

_________
I am always here.
The void of blackness lives.
Your problems won't arise
Unless I say they ever did.

I am the reason that you are.
From nothing comes your bones.
No way to say how far
But find out on your own.

I am the weight
Upon which
You grow.

I am the weight
Upon which
We all float.

Slow and Steady Wins the Race

04. WRITING

If the universe is ever-expanding, then what is it expanding into?
Is it a void?
Then what happens to the void?
Is it taken into our universe?
So, is it part of our universe?
Where are we now?

Does it happen along time's path?
Or, over you, does it pass?
Have you been strayed upon this planet?

Is it your attacker in the dark?
Everything evil known for
Misanthropic optimism for your
foreboding situation.

Could it be you?

Weird Circles

04. WRITING

It looks like 4.
Until it is 5.
But these won't add up to 9.
You're not seeing double.
More like 1.5.
It will stay young, at 5.

From there it can grow.
But that depends.
What can you accept?

Accept your sense of adventure
And the object will double itself.

10 of 4.
5 of 4.
How long do you wait to solve the problem?
Do you ever solve it at all?
Is it even really a problem at all?

04. WRITING

The road sings out it's siren again,
I am ready and willing as always.
But reluctance creeps in as you
Sneak to the corner of my eye.

Most will find their commute
Only an hour or two.
I've never had a longing for a trip
Of that kind.

And as your shine begins to fade,
What I never wanted became
What I think I might need.

I hope, at the very least,
That you'd made a last friend.
And I'll hope in futility
That we will meet again.
